Town Hall Meeting Summary
CAYA (U9-U10)
Registration
When registering you must select a region (North or South) based on where you live. As a staff we will review all registrations to insure families have selected the correct region. We understand that there can be extenuating circumstances. We consider North to be Raleigh, Wake Forest and Durham addresses and for the South we are looking at Apex, Cary, Holly Springs Morrisville and Fuquay Varina. In order to play outside of the region you reside in the staff must approve.
Tryouts
Players will tryout with fellow players in their region. All tryouts will take place at WRAL. Please make sure you register early to avoid the late fee. Specific information can be found on our website at www.caslnc.com. We will host parent meetings during the tryouts and will share this information with all families once we finalize a date and time.
Team Selection
We will tier our teams in both the U9 and U10 teams. No decision has been made yet exactly how the teams will be tiered but please understand our teams will be tiered. Players are consistently being evaluated in the program and at the conclusion of the fall season we will determine if changes need to be made in terms of how the teams are tiered and the potential for player movement.
Training
North Location will train at WRAL both sessions.
Training nights are Mondays and Thursdays.
South Location will train at Green Hope Elementary School (Mon) and Thomas Brooks Park (Thurs)
9's will train 5.00-6.30pm
10's will train 6.30-8.00pm
Tournaments
We will determine which events our teams will participate in and create a calender for the year. We hope to have this information finalized closer to tryouts.
Uniforms
Will be ordered from Eurosport by each family. More information will be provided at the meeting during tryouts. The cost for the mandatory uniform pieces will be close to $75.00.
NLA Involvement
NLA staff will conduct pre-season camps prior to the fall and spring seasons. NLA will also run our winter Fustal Program. More information will be provided during the tryout meeting we hold during the CAYA Tryouts. We are hoping that families located in the South can train in the South (Netsports) and that families located in the North can train at (the Factory). This is all still to be finalized. The indoor futsal play will take place on Saturdays. Again we hope to release final dates about the winter training program at the CAYA Tryout Meeting which will take place during the CAYA tryouts at WRAL.
Facility Development
CASL is working diligently on securing a home training base in the Cary area. In conjunction with FC Cary and NLA we hope to be able to release more information on this in the coming months.
